The Attendant is a vital member of the confined space safety team. 

Responsible for 

• monitoring the safety of the workers inside a confined space. 
• Provides assistance to the workers as required. 
• Summons an adequate rescue response if required. 
• Maintains constant communication (visual and/or verbal) with the entrants. 
• Is stationed outside or near to the entrance of the confined space.

Experience preferred but training will be provided. 

All attendant assignments will be to perform the attendant role within a trained and experienced team.  

Requires excellent communication and presentation skills. 

• Confined space experienced required. 
• Detailed knowledge of the provincial and federal regulations and NFPA codes is required.
• Previous emergency services and or military experience preferred but not required.
